Installing Database Mapper (Cloud)

Cloud vs. Software

There are two versions of Database Mapper:

  1. Database Mapper (the cloud version at document.sentryone.com)
  2. Database Mapper Software (the on-premises, self-hosted version)

The following article provides instructions for Installing Database Mapper Cloud ( the cloud version of Database Mapper at document.sentryone.com).

Before installing Database Mapper, review the System Requirements to make sure your system meets all prerequisites.

Installing Database Mapper (Cloud)

1. Purchase or download a trial of Database Mapper (Cloud).

2. Install & configure the Database Mapper Remote Agent and Configuration Tool.

3. Create an account and sign in to Database Mapper at document.sentryone.com.

Installing Database Mapper Cloud (step-by-step)

Step 1 Purchasing licenses for Database Mapper (Cloud)

After ensuring you meet the system requirements, you can purchase your license(s) for Database Mapper (Cloud). For information about product pricing and licensing, see the Database Mapper product page.

Step 2 Installing the Database Mapper Remote Agent and Configuration Tool

Step 3. Sign in through your browser

Important:  You need a SentryOne account to log into Database Mapper. Select Sign In To Get Started > Create account to make your account.

After installing and configuring the remote agent, you can log into Database Mapper by completing the following steps:

1. Open Database Mapper at document.sentryone.com and select the Sign In To Get Started button.Document web browser homepage highlighting the Sign in To Get Started button.

2. Enter your SentryOne account username and password, then select Log In. Note:  You must use the local account option. You cannot log in with a Microsoft Account.Log in with account displaying an email, jsindelar@sentryone.com, entered password, and highlighting the Log in button.

Important:  If you don't have a SentryOne username and password, select Create Account to make a new account.Log in page highlighting the Create Account link that's used to make a new account.

Additional Information: Database Mapper users must be added to your organization as well as the license. For information about user management within Database Mapper, see the Organization Settings article.

Now that you've signed in, you'll notice that things are a bit empty until you configure your first solution. Once you've got a solution configured, you're ready to generate documentation and explore the Solutions Dashboard.
